I was responsible for the look of the backgrounds which were painted with Dr. Martin dyes and black brush pen to look like one of Mike Peters comic strips.

Mike Peters gave the leads on his show one of his original daily strips.  I love that you can see the white-out and the cut and paste. Anyone do that anymore? For my money he's as brilliant as they come and what's more he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet.
